every member of congress plus their staff need to have their pay and benefits held until resolved. But we do not go back and pay.

The constitution dictates a lot of things this administration ignores and are changing with the help of the SCOTUS. No budget, shut down, no pay for any federal employee, that's only fair and right.

It still doesn’t help the federal government workers during this period of time and some are working and not being paid. I have to tell you almost all the federal workers I know work really hard and that is the norm. They all should be paid.. it is getting ridiculous. They have families just like everyone else. Some are low grades with families and trying to make it and are barely and it is ridiculous. They are paid 30% less than private ridiculous and all of them that I know work really hard and do a great job and alot of them are vets retired working as a civilian. It’s gotten ridiculous.

I’d prefer congress restores collective bargaining and firm employment contracts for government employees. Members of Congress look at their paychecks as tips. Real income comes from bribes and perks. Free housing cars security healthcare. Are Congress members giving up their medical insurance for their children during the shutdown? That’s what government employees are forced to do.
