This is temporary and uncalled for. All this is going to do is take repeat offenders off the street. After they leave it will be the same thing. Know this. What much of the general public fails to realize is that: 1. The National Guard consists of trained and ready Military Police units. 2. Specifically trained for Military and Civil Operations on Urban Terrain. 3. Guard personnel provide a variety of military and civilian skills. Those civilian skills include state and federal certified and accredited Law enforcement, riot control personnel, medical ie, EMT’s, Paramedics, nurses, doctors, firefighters, engineering, rescue and emergency operations, personnel who live and work amongst the communities they serve. 4. The National Guard missions stipulates that they can readily assist and augment local, State and federal authorities will duty calls. 5. These are not your grandfathers National Guard nowadays. They are fully funded, resourced and trained for whatever contingency, circumstances or situation.

The money that is being spent to send civilian NG to Memphis should have been allocated to the police department for higher salaries incentives better training better benefits and better lifesaving equipment and to try to work out a permanent solution. This show Trump is putting on has nothing to do with crime and everything to do with showing blue cities that did not support him in the election he has a vendetta against them. If not why not Miami Florida it has crime immigrants and is a drug corridor to the rest of the country but it is a red city and a red state!
