I absolutely do agree with this! These people need help but have been denied that help under the 12 years of democratic rule! Of course they will not agree, they cannot make their own decisions that is why they are mentally ill! Shame on the demos:leftists for denying these people to the point that they only had the streets to live on!

this present is finally doing something to get the mental people off the streets back in the 50s and 60s and seventies but people had mental issues they're putting mental institutions mental asylums mental hospitals well today our government just doesn't want to pay for that so he's trying to loose on the street and that all these crazy people attack American citizens pushing people out to the subways punching an 80 year old men in the back of the head and watching them collapse this is just retarded and yet all this is happening because we refuse to treat mental illness we just let him run loose let the wolves run loose amongst the sheep well soon we're going to fight back

People are so quick to condemn. Do you realize that this is how it always used to be. If you're mentally unable to care for yourself, or are a hazard to others because of a mental disorder, ya went to the funny farm. States just couldn't afford it any longer and turned the people out to the streets. I think that's crueler.

Yes. Something must be done about the mentally ill lose and wandering on our streets that are a danger to themselves and others. So many of them are military veteran and our heros who have fallen between the cracks and, for the most part, forgotten or unable to understand the process of getting that assistance. The other homeless are mentally ill and commit crimes randomly, many are drug addicts and/ or are just plain criminals. Anyway looked at, those people must be dealt with lawfully and immediately. Mental institutions for criminals and drug addicts and PTSD sufferers like our MIlitary heros, must be opened nationwide ASAP, citizens diagnosed and properly and lawfully placed in the proper institution for their own safety and treatment and hopefully to eventually return them to a healthy and worthwhile place in society. This would be a very good use of our tax dollars and done lawfully and humanely would be a good start to curing our serious problem. 💕💕🤔🤔🙏🙏🙏

yes I agree. not only are they a huge pain in the ass and expensive but maybe they deserve a good life too eh? maybe they need to get on some meds and get their shit together so they can have nice things too? I know everyone thinks it's progressive to let people live in such horrible situations but some of us are tired of it and think it's win win.
I am all for it ! not sure how anyone is not for it, we gad a mentally ill man stabbing a teen age girl on a train for no reason, a man with history of crime, and mental illness.had he already been institutionalized she might still be alive.

my son almost died because he was too mentally ill to take care of himself. schizophrenic he had the right to live on the streets. I had no rights to him. no way to get him help, I had to check the news every day to make sure he wasn't on there. thanks to police officers noticing he had a bad cut on his hand (that was so infected he almost lost his hand/ life). they were able to get the state involved and forced him to ER. where doctors where finally able to get him help. he is no longer on the streets now. So, YES, I totally agree with Trump.
years ago it was called being "committed " sometimes people have to be forced into treatment. The crazy person never thinks they're crazy.

I rather see my tax dollars go to people who have mental health problems then seeing illegal aliens get free everything, rent for Free housing, free money, free medical, free food stamps, free phones and internet, free cars. HOW ABOUT YOU?

Only if the government intends to actually find institutions & provide over site of care & conditions. The government defunded most state supported long term care facilities for disabled & mentally ill. My state recently closed down 3. Where do you send them then???? That's why so many end up housed in jails. The facilities that do exist are full, the rest simply no longer exist.
If you are Mentally ill and living on the streets, or your just a druggie that thinks doing drugs is THE MOST IMPORTANT thing to you and your sleeping in the streets, in trash, in filth obviously doing harm to yourself. You have given up the right to decide for yourself! Is it more humane to watch people kill themselves slowly over time, or get them to a facility to dry out clean up and actually have a shot?

That's what needs to happen if the United States government quit spending taxpayer dollars on sesame seed in Iran. Transgender surgery in Guatemala. All the stupid things that hit the news. Would he saved money that was being spent? Illegally was spent on the American people. Seniors without enough money to buy the medicine that they need or veterans sleeping on the streets homeless. We need to take care of Americans. First and then look at maybe sending a 200 billion dollars to Ukraine on a war that's not even our business right now
