the whole reason we have the right to bear arms is to keep the government on the level. so if, in theory, armed citizens keep the government on the straight and narrow, it should also keep citizens thinking twice before random acts of crime.🤷♀️
Ted is right and Piers is an indoctrinated Brit who lives where they have no guns so there has been stabbing attacks and cars driven into crowds. Government is not worried about unarmed citizens so they have put anti-free speech laws in and arrested many people for ridiculous things. To Ted’s point look at Texas with concealed carry and generous public opinion on guns and compare it to Chicago or Harlem or Baltimore.

People kill people I used to live in the northeast all my life and there was guns everywhere because I used to be a bad guy. I’ve been a good guy for 40 years anyway I moved down to Florida two years ago and in Florida there is an understanding that if you come in my home to hurt me rob me or anything they’ll blow your head off with the sheriffs blessing so it’s real easy down here you don’t rob nobody hurt nobody and go about your happy life and you’ll have a happy life.
