As a retired college professor I implore those seeking higher education to understand that wisdom can never he taught and that it’s only gained through knowledge and experience, and more importantly through moral virtue!

College doesn’t teach anything anymore
Depending on the field college can be beneficial. Medical doctors, people in the sciences are good example of where a degree is needed. Some fields like education a lesser degree with an apprenticeship style employment is recommended. You don’t need a doctorate or a masters to teach elementary school. Trade schools should be encouraged for those that are desiring to pursue those fields. I barely graduated high school. I was lazy and did not care. Join the service, and went back to school to get a college degree. I realize quickly that was not the path for me. I did exceptionally well in college, but it was not the path for me. A degree from a university/college does not equate to intelligence. I have met many people who have college degrees but can’t function outside of what their degree is. That’s not intelligence that’s training/programming.

Don't these people go to college to be awarded a BA, BS, MA, PHD, MsC or an MD? Isn't their ideal outcome to acquire the title of CEO and Millionaire? Charlie is a CEO and has a networth of 12 million dollars. It didn't cost him 4-12 years of his life, crippling debt or an educational system's assistance to get there. He has already achieved what we can all pray is the fruition of our entire life at the age of 31. Why would you engage in an argument that he is less because he didn't pursue a college degree?
