Receiving food stamps is not a hand out! I get so sick of people talking about SNAP and other forms of assistance as being a hand out. It seems to be okay for the American people to work and pay taxes so that the money can be sent to other countries and big corporations can receive bail outs, but it's a problem to feed and house the people who live in America. SMH! It's horrible that the president is doing everything in his power to block people from eating and paying their bills. He's firing people and putting our nation in tremendous danger. This is absolutely horrific!

I get snap benefits. Husband is blind and I have a brain injury either one of us can work. love whenever people says go get a job . I'm gonna give you an example. My daughter has cancer and she don't get her food. Stamps and child support don't do Jack. Nothing but help pay a bill. Because she's not getting disability and she can't work. So for all of you talking insane step into somebody's shoes at 68 I don't get them. I'm raising my grandson and I don't get him because my retirement benefit from social security is too much. Have little money.I get from the state is too much so I have to go the grocery store.I have to stand in line at the pantries , so stop judging somebody when you don't know their story

You should of had a full time job , hell I had four working two jobs couldn’t receive help because of my income , she said she was working a part time job one full time job sometimes it will not pay all your bills , get a job…. I’m sorry, but as far as I’m concerned, I ran a register for years. They need to kick everyone off and have them reapply and go through the applications to get rid of all the fraud out there. They also need to rework what all food is allowed. Neither one of them two looked real thin. It’s been needing reworked for years now would be the time to do it.

Working people's are struggling just as well. We work our 40 to 60 hours a week, our pay is taxed up to 37% for Federal and up to 10% state with an additional 6.2% for social security and 1.45% for medicare. The way I see it those that shouldn't have been receiving snap and monthly money (our contributions) were living far better than a lot of us. My concern is only for those with disabilities and seniors who have been living honestly having shuffling medication and food every other month. Women who arent married having more than one child with multiple males, no pity. Able body people who can work, no pity

I was single of 3 (child support, if I got it, it was a joke). I struggled but made it work with no welfare. My kids always had food and a roof over their heads. I didn't buy anything for myself, just the kids. Now they are grown and have kids themselves. Not a one is on any welfare program.
Why are you having kids out of wedlock that you can't support? If you choose irresponsibility, then you shouldn't be rewarded for bad behavior. 🤔
