it's crazy how she gets awarded, but when they look like her and actually murder classmates on a rampage of dysfunction and undisciplined household... there's no rewards to those family affected. Or even the church shootouts, and recent black college murders. Yet she lived to talk about all the should have, could have.
The Parents of the child who shot the teacher should be made to pay 1/2 of the award as well!!

What the heck is wrong with everyone on here bitching about how much she was awarded, trying to make it a race issue & finger pointing?? That child had a gun. The principal was alerted & did nothing! The teacher could have been paralyzed for the rest of her life or dead regardless. I’m totally PRO guns but it’s the full responsibility of the PARENTS to keep the weapon in a safe place when kids are involved.

There's something off about her and her smirk. The child's parents should be held accountable for him getting their gun but they need to investigate how that teacher was treating him to make him want to harm her. I've seen instances where teachers harbor ill feelings toward certain children and subtly that them differently.

I can't believe the number of people on here that don't agree with this. The Vice Principal set her up to be shot, if you ask me. Well the principal was told about this and she didn’t act accordingly, that is why the child got away with it, had she acted accordingly this could have been avoided!!!! Parents shud be liable but the principal failed!!!!

Umm all you have to do is file bankruptcy to avoid this verdict.
And why is she awarded Money?
She deserved, some money for her pain and suffering. However, the principal want have to pay it. The school system has an insurance policy that will pay it. I followed the trial and the legal analyst on Court TV. broke it down. So even though she sued the Principal and not the school district, because the principal was employed and it happened on school property. The school district insurance will cover it, not taxpayers. She was awarded that amount, however after appeals, she probably will end up settling for a lot less.Otherwise with appeals, it will be alot of year before she sees one cent. I'm not sure why she didn't sue the school directly, the amount of money that she wanted, under any other condition, would have been just sitting as a judgment. The person being sued, clearly doesn't have 10 million dollars ? I'm sure that her lawyers had a reason. 🤔

you know why do they always hide the child's identity and their family? this kid brought a gun to school and purposely shot his teacher. what kid in there right mind would do something like that or what parent would not keep a weapon secured so the kid couldn't get it. they need to prosecute that family. I don't care if he's 6 or 60 the kid knew what he was doing. the mother or the parents of this child need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent. this is why stupid people should not own a weapon if they cannot take care of it and secure it around children.
