The single thing that will bring down the cost of healthcare in the United States is making the losing side in a civil litigation pay. The winners cost. United States is the only country in the world where you can sue with no risk whatsoever to having to pay the winners cost.

face it, health care in this country is a scam. i don't know of any other industry that doesn't have set prices. a car dealer doesn't care if you finance or pay cash. The price is $$$. health care $$$ pends on your insurance. why? did you receive better care because you had blue cross or something else? no. if the government truly wants to help people, it needs to totally demantle the for-profit system. then demand transparency on prices for services. last point: anytime government money is involved, fraud and corruption exist.
Profits for healthcare insurance companies are up 480% to more than 1200% over the life of Obamacare. Meanwhile, out out-of-pocket costs are up more than 300%. The cure for failed government cannot be even more government.

You actually made the problem worse. the Affordable Care Act was anything but Affordable. ic cost me $35000.00 in penalties. On overtime worked. I did not have the opportunity to turn O.T. down. It was required of all supervisors to cover shifts when other gauds called off.
