My first inclination is to say she should have never been convicted of anything. She got 6 years for weapon and manslaughter, served only 3. But it's far better to pay for your sins in this life than the next. I can't help but wonder if vigilante killings like this were more common it might be a deterrent for other crimes. America would be the only civilized country that would ever dream of passing a law that protects a parent who took action on such a heinous crime. Perhaps this is something we should lead the way on! Incidentally she used the same model handgun I bought my wife before I went overseas on my first tour. Every woman should own some form of protection and be taught how to use it.
