For those who are wondering, let me say that I followed this story, & this is NOT a police officer, he is a off duty private security guard for Lowe's Hardware Company. The man used to get their wood pallets behind the store until this man made it a mission to get Lowe's to no longer give them away. He still came up there when he was off duty & the others would let him load them up onto his trailer. On this day, he was trying to get them, but unfortunately the security guard was there. They had an argument in front of the store & the guard decided to call the police because he was already banned from the property. This guard stood in front of his truck, not allowing him to leave. He pulled a weapon when the man, Freddie, was trying to inch out of his parking space &he shouted to wait for the police. Freddie told him he would leave, &when Freddie reved his engine, the guard shot & killed him. He was charged with 2nd degree murder & received life with the possibility of parole.

he is not supposed to shoot him, he's a security guard not police he gas no jurisdiction. he can get the plate number and report it to police. He was not in immediate danger and he broke the escalation of force continuum

The guy in the truck was told not to move. If you have a gun pointing at you I think you need to listen the guy in the truck put his foot on the gas which is considered a deadly weapon. The vehicle was going towards the security officer, I would’ve shot the guy too before I would’ve got hit by his truck. He worn the guy in the truck. He didn’t listen.
