Drinking and driving is only illegal if the blood alcohol content is above the legal limit. However, the drivers have no way of knowing when they cross the line from legal to illegal drinking and driving. That's like driving on a highway with no speedometer to let you know how fast you're going. You know the speed limit is 60. You think you're doing 50, maybe 55, but definitely not more than 60. Then, a cop pulls you over and tells you that you were doing 70. Now you're a criminal. I don't get how we refuse to have a way for the drivers to know their blood alcohol content. Many DUIs would be avoided if people had a way of knowing their blood alcohol content before they decide to drive.
