Never jump in the water. If you're not capable of saving somebody. this rescue process is way off. any lifeguard and dr knows this. you both will die trying .
nobody standing around could have found a rope or something besides a little branch.. I would have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off looking for something 😭 damn that's soo heart breaking
tgat water is highly aerated that's why they are sinking regardless if there could have been someone that knows how to swim they still would have sunk
2 lives gone because someone did not know how to freaking swim. By the way, you get behind them and grab them around the neck at your elbow and lay back while directing them to calm. Fill your lungs so you float. Then side stroke to safety.

When you’re trying to keep someone from drowning, you always grab them from BEHIND. If you are in front of them, they can drown you because, they will be desperately trying to keep their head above the water like the man in this video was.

that was in the Buffalo NY area...they jumped in to retrieve a piece of wood that was going to make them some money....and with like 5-8 people on the bridge along with the people walking by....a few reached out with sticks....but yeah that was the outcome....sad yo
