my landlord hasnt raised mine either & i am sooo thankful. i cant even afford what i pay now. but i have replaced the dishwasher & the stove myself & told him i wont take them when i leave. now to find a newer fridge/freezer.

I've been here 12 yrs and never a minute late on rent but my ll is kicking me out so he can sell the place and I am fully disabled. I have no place to go nor can I afford a 1 bedroom apt at $2000 avg.month i live on ssdi and get $2900 a month so I don't qualify, every place wants to see 1/3 rd rent to income that means I need to make $6000 a month 😢😰 I have till 8-15-2025 till im homeless
our landlord is Chinese and that's what she does she hasn't raised our rent she's very good landlord
probably because your mortgage isn't crazy high. the longer you keep your tenants the more they pay off your mortgage. if you raise the rent and they cant afford it you gotta deal with them not being able to pay, then kick them out when they dont, ect. then find a new tenant willing to pay that price. so you lose that money you could have earned. dudes running a property and he's smart about it. doesn't mean he cares though.

Mine goes up 100 every year but does no upgrades to the house at all. Still have window unit A/C baseboard heat which is outrageous in the winter, insurance company had to make them fix deck.

I remember this 1 place me and wife moved into it was apartment/townhouse community everything was great the rent etc so they had this common area in front with playground, gazebo etc..well they decided to out 1 charcoal grill out there and started charging all of us a resort fee...hell no

I own several homes that a rent out and they are very nice and I keep up with the everything in routine check ups and anything messes up I replace it the same day or as soon as possible and I only charge 800 a month and it has been like that since I started renting and its going to stay like that. I like money yes but im not out to break someone's bank to become rich its stupid and ridiculous. I jmhave had rich people come and offer to partner with me and ask me to raise the rent and so on I immediately stop talking to them and refuse anyone's help. its ridiculous how much money has fucked with people and how money makes people not care about others
