Let’s step back for a moment ~ LA has a long history of public outbreak, looting, fires being instigated, bricks thrown from bridges, damage throughout the city, paid antagonists, violence towards police officers and the non-protesting public being held prisoner in their own apartments and homes. This is ‘domestic terrorism’. Peaceful protests are important and necessary. Violence and damage is not. Neither the Governor or Mayor have a right to neglect the safety of the citizens within the city when a protest movs to violent and reckless behavior. When Gov Newsom and Mayor Bass give media updates and they are dishonest in terms of the numbers and intensity of protestors and rioters, the Pres has an obligation and right to secure the safety of the city. People were afraid to leave their homes. These protests were funded and paid rioters were brought in to do what they did. It was out of control and the local law enforcement were overrun.
