You can order a product that looks just like a hornets nest on Temu for $2. I have one on my front porch and have not seen a single fly all summer. It works. And it’s a lot cuter than a paper bag. And I have it ine a 25’x50’ front porch. And one in my carport and haven’t seen a wasp building a nest yet. Also no carpenter bees since I hung it there. Comes with a cute hanger too.

I believe she is making this to look like a wasp nest. I read that if you already have a wasp nest the real wasps won’t make another nest nearby.

Just my opinion but I would only intend on discouraging wasps, hornets, bees etc from building their nests in an area that is frequently visited by people and or pets. Never kill these pests as they are beneficial to the environment.

it's a mimic of a wasp or actually a hornet nest and the hornets actively hunt Wood borer bees who can put a hurting on any kind of wood privacy fence , eves , facia logs even of log cabins , docks sheds , very destructive in SC they leave about a half inch bore two to four inches deep.
