the deputy was being nice. he was doing his job. that said, he can do his investigation without knowing the guys name. he has the guys face on camera & many ways to find out who the guy is. so cop should let guy go, do his investigation & if a crime is determined, then find out guys name, go to his house & arrest him! cops all the time make more work out of shit then if they'd just do the investigation

I think most us know that those people are out there with those phones and cameras, some of them have invested pretty expensive equipment .. just to take pictures of courthouses, mails, peoples homes, post offices sheriff's offices and police officers, and they do it for internal rushes they get inside. i don't think any of these people have jobs, their wives probably pay for their cameras. probably had a rough childhood. But if you just ignore him, he would have nothing to work with.None of them would, and they'd have to go away.This is just a fad anyway . i live in a small town in Southern Oklahoma so far.We haven't had that problem.
