Animals are individuals too. Cat's are very intelligent and when you imprint on them at their lowest (injured or newborn lost/abandoned) they treat you as their elder. This is a beautiful story, but please understand those laws were there to protect you, and other people. I'm happy you have this beautiful bond with her.
