The last time I went ice fishing we drove the car out to the spot, dug the holes with an ice pick. No shelter, sometimes you wished they were not biting so you did not have to stick your hands in the water. We drove out there in a 53 Buick and spent half the time hoping the car would not break thru the ice.

I have a portable 4 man Eskimo, works for me. My buddy has an Ice Castle RV edition. It's a nice change, especially when it's really cold.
