Hammerhead sharks are an endangered species, these guys did a great job

who has a bolt cutter on the beach come on let's be realistic?

I moved in 2004 to Aransas Pass, TX. 3 days after unpacking I WAS AT FISHING PIER where man hooked a huge sea turtle. me and my adult kids helped the gentleman get the turtle to shallows. she had leader wires & to hooks in her jaw, flippers and carapace. I had my toolbox with bolt cutters. it took 4 of us over an hour snipping tackle to remove 16 hooks from the very cooperative turtle. first i called the UofT ARK rescue on 1Port Aransas to report location of the turtle, but left the info on a answering machine. with no clue if they were coming, I had nearly all of the hooks removed when1 ARK arrived. its against the law to handle the sea turtles without proper credentials .one woman was utterly wretched to me for even touching the turtle. luckily Dr. Amos noted my wildlife rescue certificate. the turtle was taken to ARK for eval, and 5 days later i was invited. to attend her release. always keep a rescue box with me. 🤔

I love hammerhead sharks 💚 They're endangered too; mad respect to the dudes who helped it out.

That's not the first time that guy has done that, that's a bad ass fisherman right there. He knew exactly what he was doing. Respect the animals you catch!

Hero saving this hammerhead shark that has a fish hook in its mouth. Heroes don’t have to come with a cape.✌️✌️😂🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈

Folks learn to live with them. They’re here, they have always been here.

what a heroes look like

Hammerheads are considered to be a top predator among all the other sharks. It's because their sonar ability is so precise and can reach for miles. Such a magnificent creature

these dudes are now among the real heroes in the world community.

Thank you Sir for putting him back for others to Enjoy his Beauty

So heartwarming to see grown up men care for wildlife.

The hammerhead shape provides a wider field of vision and helps them scan the ocean floor. and they have an Ampullae of Lorenzini or special sensory organs that helps them detect electrical fields, allowing them to find prey that might be buried in the sand. Hammerheads are particularly known for their love of stingrays and often use their heads to pin them down. They don't really attack humans and have been observed sun tanning their skin actually will get tan in the sun and they seem to enjoy it.

That’s incredible. The shark knew.

I know people with entire hardware stores in their trunk! 😆😆😆

God bless you guys for potentially sacrificing your LIVES to help this incredibly dangerous species of shark (Hammerhead)

BEAUTIFUL🥰 Also, it's Florida. a LOT of country boys on vacation with trucks and tools. I lived around there for a long time. trust me.

there are way too many sharks in the ocean now days need to take some out

Thank all of you for saving the hammerhead shark!

Chinese proverb say: he who cut metal piece from hammer-shark with cutter will soon have the shark back in water with a flutter

I love this all the way up until the point where he just would not let go of the shark and was walking it into the ocean like it’s his dog or something…!!!

let him go why keep holding his tail

thank you for helping this shark, you are incredibly brave, that shark is a killer

I was waiting for something bad thank god it was not

it was probably in the back of his truck for work and he just ran to his truck and grabbed it cuz it wasn't very far away this man yeah you could say he's got nerves of steel I just say he's educated he knows what he's doing and how to do it he looks like he's done it before and it's so nice to be able to see people saving an animal from the ocean saving any animal in fact

Hopefully that hammer head shark remembers how man saved his life and will some how communicates with other sharks to do the same 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Thank you all for saving this shark.

🥰🥰🥰 Thank You "Lord" 🙏

Can you stop criticizing and admiring what those people did. I'm an electrician and I carry a bunch of tools in my truck that I used for my personal travel. you never know.

Just see the positive for once. The shark got assistance and can live another day without that horrific hook👍.

Awsome thank you for helping the shaming📙

There was no danger to the rescuers however they may have been splashed with water. They did a good thing by taking the hook out and returning it back to the sea kudos

Amazing! Just because LOOKS scary or mean or evil…doesn’t necessarily mean they are! A lot of bigger guys get treated the same way! Nature is nature and yes they would attack if they smelled blood but they are INNOCENT

Ty to guy who unhooked it and took it back out great job

now thats a man right there.

im sure the shark thanks you for removing the hook

Thank you!🥰

You are supposed to cut your line and not fight them. The hook rusts away from the salt water!!!

Hurray for the humans! Sometimes we get it right!😘💋💕🥰

Those are endangered species!! Help him please

thank you for releasing that beautiful hammer head .I love sharks. They are my favorite animal.I used to live in Florida. It is so beautiful there. You need to respect the ocean. There are over 500 different kind of sharks.

It's illegal to catch a hammerhead. They're protected, at least in Florida. Saw a big one caught and released.

people who go to the beach have jobs that might use Bolt cutters and they have them in their vehicles.... that they drove to the beach in.... not in their beach bag....

EVEN APEX creditors will become tame to allow humans to help them!!

That's so badass...crazy, but RESPECT 🙏

sharks can survive/eat with a caught hook.

Absolute SUPERSTARS💕💕💕💕

Definitely not worth losing a finger or hand! Hook would not impede the sharks eating habits,it would’ve came out on its own just like it does with other species of fish!

Well done gentilemen, nice hammerhead to be free again. Hats off to you guys.👍🏻😁🇺🇲

The shark comes back later and eats the hand that fed him.

Thank you guys for your kindness and empathy to another species that needs us.

Hero

this is how you help nature i wish more people should help

I think that was a scallop hammerhead, male 🤍 thank you gentlemen! mouth is too small to be a Great hammerhead. 🙌🏼

Awesome!

😆😆

God bless him for helping that shark 🙏

Thank you guys…

🥰 thank you

Thank God for those men !!!
