As an RN this really pisses me off. Put pants on your patients. If not than put a gown on. Shame
As a nurse that is so in appropriate. That’s a major dignity issue walking him down the hall in a top and a disposable brief. Would you do that to your dad uncle brother grandpa? I bet not.

My Dad in the beginning of his last journey had to be in the hospital, starting in the ER. When I got to the ER they had Dad sitting in an open walkway, pretty much a hall between rooms, he had on hospital socks and a tee shirt, with his genitals completely exposed. That was Kaiser Hospital in Sacramento, CA. We, me and my sister's got him a blanket to cover up. The entire staff acted like it was no big deal We need to do better!
I've been a CNA for 30 years and I'm so pissed watching this wonderful man being paraded around an entire hospital. This is a basic dignity issue.

I'm full blown pissed as an RN that this man wasn't fully protected by his nurse and[ if he couldn't get his pants on which pajama pants would have covered the diaper,] how dare they disgrace and humiliate this patient. I'm glad he's up and walking and going home but I'd fired her on the spot if she was one of my nurses. 🤬

It’s not only the staff, the daughter is filming and hasn’t reacted to him being in only his brief and shirt. I would have already filed a report. Dignity is the patient’s right and they both failed this man. I’m glad he gets to go home. Hope they treat him better there.
The nurse should have never ever done this but who the hell is video taping this? They need to be slapped just once and I would go to the charge nurse and complain about this walking….she should be ashamed both of them who’s holding the phone and the nurse…. And then you could use 2 gowns on the front and on the back
Another question was that a family videoing his walk, when damn shame on that person too.? They could have requested a hospital gown as it's always be normal procedure.

There is zero modesty in the hospital. I had open heart surgery and I was devastated when really young male nurse was removing my Foley catheter. Then a young male nurse came to take me to walk I asked if I could have underware first. He stood there watching me put on underware. So degrading.
