1st of all, I've lived in Charlotte since 1995 and that statue has been at the airport since before that time,. probably before you were even born .It was outside as you pulled into departures by the parking deck, they simply moved it indoors, secondly, the expansion has seriously been taking place at the airport since then too. from parking, adding terminals and runways, expanding. its in the top 10 busiest airports in the USA spending billions isn't out of the helm of comprehension.
