Why not just cut the tubing without burning it? Not safe at all!
only thing tube and ties probably cost the same much as the terminal
no electrical tape didn't twist the ends the connection with fail by each of the individual tensile strength of that copper breaking theirs a reason you twist the ends together. copper is a weak metal it needs to be twisted to keep it from breaking

there is absolutely nothing brilliant about this whatsoever!!! You will be stranded within 1 week and possibly burn down your car in the process. Some things you just dont cut corners on and to save $20 or less its just not worth the risk. Besides, that hose would be better used for a beer funnel...just an idea 💡

That little skinny cable will burn in a day or two it’s too thin
