every oil filter is in the same location and has the same tightness
there is no way the plastic cup holds 5 quarts of oil🤔😲

or.you pop a hole in the bottom of the filter and let it drain out
Try punching a hole in the bottom of the filter and let the oil drain out first you don’t get oil on your hands.

Look how easy it is to get to the oil filter. Try doing that laying on the ground and reaching up and trying to get it off and you can't even see it.

Those filters were very loose & with just a lil engine presssure while running, would cause it to leak perfusely on the road...😲
I use a 1 gallon ziplock bag! Yeah you spill some but catches the filter and most of the oil!!!🤔👍
there are these things called an oil filter wrench, gloves, and a catch pan, which are for this exact job. just buy the right tools for the right job. the right job for a plastic cup is to drink out of, and I think you get the idea for the rest.

all these years I got to very little oil spilling but none not me not that smart. however car designers hate techs maybe coz real one makes money. but on some cars an I have seen it with my own eyes on you tube they show oil filter on block screwed in upside down meaning you,ll be lucky to not get every bit on you let alone miss a lot c,Mon upside down how they sell that offer to work a free year
