American mechanics are smart because they know that there is more than 4 5 quarts of oil inside a car so tell me something how are you going to collect all that oil in one quart of cup? advertising on a product without telling the consumer the truth is what they call false advertising

there are these things called an oil filter wrench, gloves, and a catch pan, which are for this exact job. just buy the right tools for the right job. the right job for a plastic cup is to drink out of, and I think you get the idea for the rest.

I usually drain the oil reservoir before I remove the filter.
