Back in the old days, we'd pour a 10 cent bottle of Coke on it...worked very well..
just to let you know all you did was what the corrosion is still there it's just wet now to get the corrosion off your battery use a hot Dr pepper I mean a hot Pepsi Dr pepper Coke any one of them will work because of the Civic in them I don't know who told you that about that hot water
add a spoon full of baking soda for an even better clean and it neutralizes the battery acid so it won't cause any damage.
Vinegar works. wiggle the clamp.
For extra cleaning of the green you can also put baking soda on the terminal before pouring the water and it’ll have a chemical reaction that cleans the green

water washed the acid off but left the live acid on the car ! coke kulls the acid as it washes it away !

If you had baking soda to the boiling water, it'll neutralize the acid
Corrosion is still present you need warm water baking soda and a toothbrush to completely get rid of it
Make sure you don't have exposed wires and create a electrical short 😂😂😂 before doing this 😂😂
You salt water and see what happens no I know use gasoline

well of course it would work it's boiling water and that is corrosion but then once you get the corrosion off guess what it suffers from then..... rust?
it is $3 to replace your battery terminal connectors in alls you need is a wire cutter in 15 minutes of work and if your battery is corroded that means one your batteries probably gone bad too you're wiring is cooked cuz the inside of that wire is now corroded too don't let your battery eternal connectors get this bad
don't y'all think y'all or warm people not to pour that on the red post because it's the positive side might short it out
put a penny on it an then corrosional stay off the terminal and go to the penny
and it will still oxidize as soon as you walk away from it
you can piss on it n it works....WOW...WOW...wow.......🥳
now just fully dry it off and your car is all good
