She, the officer “can” ask you anything, it is not illegal to “ask” a person for anything, now if you as an officer demand with a threat of arrest, that is different. She can ask for sprinkles on her ice cream, you just refuse as it’s not required to. She is basically tricking you and you’re falling for it.

I could be mistaken. But I’m pretty sure that lady officer was killed a few days ago. I could be wrong but she looks identical to a female officer who was killed a few days ago.

yes the passenger isn't legally obligated but she just wants to identify them both so they both don't have warrants. Recording it is fine but straight up refusing gives officers probable cause. They want to make sure people go home at the end of the day safely and alive. Including themselves. Don't be ignorant and think with common sense. The citation isn't worth your life.

I cannot believe it. She said, I'm not gonna admit to being wrong about nothing ever. In this lifetime, or the next, even though the other officer says she was wrong. You can't make this stuff up. Sad. Suppose you don't have a Driving license. Because you ain't driving or you don't have your I. D with you because your uncle said, come on, run to the store with me. You just gonna be gaffled up. This is the America y'all voted for. Why is the question?🤔

It depends on what state you're in. In many states they can check everyone in the car for warrents.

this is bad information to spread to the public because there are states that are ID states and you are required to give ID even if you are a passenger. also let's say the drive has his seat belt on but the passenger does not will the driver be responsible for the ticket.

in some states even walking down the road you're supposed to be carrying your ID I want to give you an example somebody is driving down the road they go off the side and they hit a parked car then they get out and run but they've already hurt the two people in the car that they hit now they don't know who it was because neither one of them had ID

An easy google search, No, a passenger does not have to show ID in Georgia unless the officer has reasonable suspicion that the passenger is involved in a crime or is detained for a specific legal reason. While an officer can ask for a passenger's ID, the passenger has the right to refuse to provide it during a standard traffic stop, though this may prolong the stop. Passengers can remain silent, ask if they are free to leave, or decline a search.

you are not required to show your license as passenger however if you are suspected of a crime for example not wearing a seat belt then you need to show some form of identification for most people thats a license

No, I dont agree with this. They pulled the driver over, the passenger has nothing to do with why the driver was pulled over. This lady officer was absolutely abusing her authority, she lied and also attempting to intimidate. That’s BS
