FEMALE cop wanted to make the arrest before backup came to prove SHE could do it on HER own and look good as a FEMALE officer. SHE had plenty of opportunity to wait for backup but HER ego wouldn't allow it. the closer back up was to arrive the more SHE tried to make the arrest on HER own. I used to be a copwatch on YouTube and in my experience FEMALE cops have the biggest egos of them all. HER ego caused all that chaos.

she kept trynna act tuff. talking about her backup is coming. the way she was acting and talking to him caused this. if a girl would've told a male cop she didn't like the way he was touching her bc she had been SA it would've been completely different. not to mention she goes straight to trying to shooting instead of any other tactics

I can understand how incredibly intense and frightening that situation would be. Imagine being confronted by a drunk individual who is aggressively preventing your movement, and on top of that, they're trying to take away your weapon. It's a moment filled with fear and a sense of helplessness. It's easy to say how one might react in theory, but unless you've actually been in a scenario like that, it’s hard to truly grasp the emotions involved. It’s completely natural to feel overwhelmed in such a situation.

Regardless of gender the Officer should have realized that the subject was under the influence and or mentally challenged. It's hard to disengage and an officer (absolutely has no duty to retreat). As a retired Chief of Police I would rather my officers wait for backup if possible, when I first started as a Deputy Sheriff I worked deep nights (SOSNAB). SINGLE OFFICER SQUAD NO BACK UP AVAILABLE. I covered the whole county by myself.I stand 6'5 - 275lbs I have been in many altercations and have had my butt monkeystomped a time or two. I was the first in my Department to carry Pepper Spray, love that stuff. Some men just do not respect women, poor or no parental training, which totally discuss me. I have worked with men and women, and both have a place as Peace Officers, and both deserve the same respect. Experience is the best teacher, she won't allow herself to get into that situation again, I will put money on that.
