I know this feeling, except it was the other way around. I found out about year 20 of marriage my husband had a long term relationship started way before we got married and didn’t end until 15 years prior to him telling me. It produced a child and they chose to abort. Living with the guilt of the abortion is what drove him to blurt everything out one night during an argument. I cried a lot and prayed even more. I extended grace and eventually forgiveness. We love each other and are still together. People do what they are taught and he doesn’t think he did anything wrong. I learned people cannot love / give more than they are capable and putting your expectations on someone is unfair. So, I don’t expect anything from anyone which protects me from getting hurt.
That’s how both men and women feel when a partner cheats. It breaks you. Cheaters are heartless. If you want someone else, just leave first. 😔
