Abortions should only be recommended by doctors in extreme circumstances. There should be no such thing as casual abortions. Underage and forced sexual encounters (cuz I can't say what it's really called) and health risks. Other than those extreme situations abortion should not even be an option.

To his question, yes. It is more merciful to have a medical abortion than for mother and baby go through that when pain is more prominent for both. I know that it’s grotesque.
