As a man who has built dozens and dozens and dozens of houses, I always recommend that the laundry room be on an outside wall to keep the dryer vent discharge on as short as possible. There鈥檚 several reasons for this disorder the event run the easier it is to clean and the more efficient. The dryer will operate in the possibility of fire is far less because of the shorter run, not being built up with lint. That鈥檚 my new washer and dryer. My parents even come by and visit spend a week or two in their 80s and they like everyone else absolutely love how quietly and efficiently they clean, saying their clothes have never been wider or cleaner
As a contractor we suggested to have washer in the basement or main floor in case of pipe burst or leaking and mold doesn't ruin the whole house.
She's working smarter, not harder! A man would be trying to manhandle the heavy object up those stairs because he doesn't have the patience to use a back saving device like that! 馃槅 馃グ
If you have a spot for a washer and dryer upstairs, why would you want it in the basement to walk up and downstairs all the time !!
