It is called armored cable, it is either 500 or 750 mcm in size. We used to pull a lot of it in aluminium cable trays at the power plant. We didn't physically pull it by hand, we used electric tugger motors. Sometimes the length of the armored cable was several hundred feet long. They called us the bull gang. IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) When you take measurements for this wire your measurements must be correct. It's very expensive. We had a saying. If your measurements were long, then you're wrong. But if your measurements were short you're gone. (fired)
