Why not use wood glue instead of elmers white glue
Just use a clamp. Much tighter bond.
Looked like the wood split when the first nail was driven. Wouldn't it have been better to drill pilot holes for the nails first?
pre drill hole use screw much easier
id put a nail or two on the side
why not just use fence staple ....be easier
