In most states, you can trim shrubs, trees, and plants that grow on your of side of the fence only. You cannot legally cut down anything that is on the neighbors side of the fence or property line. The judge made the right call to award this woman the settlement that she did, for her roses. Great call judge!!! I'd be replanting those roses in the same spot and keep my camera pointed on them in case he tried to do anything to them again (cutting them or throwing any chemicals on them that would destroy them). I'd also start raising bees in my back yard (they're great for the environment and honey is good for you too), just because he chose to do what he did to those beautiful roses! The roses were probably there in her yard, before he was in his house!!
