I understand exactly where Grandma is coming from. I too am elderly and living on Social Security. I’m also not able to walk well, as I had 4 discs removed from my spine. So catching a city bus is out of the question. My S.S. Check is $1,240.00 monthly, I pay rent, electricity, co pay for all of my 23 prescriptions, I also get $21.00 monthly in food stamps. ( so obviously I buy groceries, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and laundry supplies as well as Laundry machines. I catch a Lyft ride to go wherever I need to go (and I only go where I NEED TO) Laundry facility, grocery store (both are 2 x monthly) My big splurge is that I Drink coffee ( 2 cups every morning) I try very hard to not spend frivolously. There are several items that I would love to get, but I simply can’t afford oh yeah, I do have a phone. Would love to get a new TV set. ( lightning took out my last one. Yes, I can easily understand why Grandma was trying to make a FEW dollars. 💯🎯💕🙏🏽🙏🏽
