First of all , this is years ago, and this is now the barometer of the American Governments Greatness ? Thank you Jesse Ventura for your Service .
who decided that anyone under 21 needs to be put in the army O yes the old people that run this country into corruption.
don't cry you're not the first or the last was treated this way!
Thank U for your service Sir! I could only imagine Trump or his wimpy sons in a war!!!
Thats a lie about alcohol during vietnam the drinking age for beer was 18
maga reddy2🤪✌🏻🤣🤣
looks like you need a bath..
let the politicians kids fight the wars there father's start. keep your children out of the army unless you want your kids to die for billion airs to make more profit.
Ventura is an idiot
stolen Valor he was NEVER a seal
When he was 18, 18 was the legal drinking age
Jesse is a great man was a great governor he may be wrong on some of his dates but still a great man.
Ok u served your time now move on.
they tried to smear him. did well. he was a navy seal! He became a governor. Major fame in wrestling. This man knows what he's saying. everyone doesnt care. goes back to the cheerios and video games! next getting drafted for war because nobody listens!!! There is much hope left...
an here we go again
they use young men cuz they full of hate and anger and straight out the brainwash factory
Politics aside he has a very sound argument. This man served our nation and deserved to make his point.
Somehow this clown is a democrat.
So true here in the USA if you're under 21 you can't do anything like adults can except die for a country that looks at you as if you are a child .
SAD , but it’s the dam TRUTH , SAD , if you’re old enough to fight for this Country , you deserve the other privileges .
Old enough to fight, die, and kill for your "country", but not old enough to be treated like a man. What's wrong with this picture?😳🤨🤨🤨
I’m his age at 18 but then you can vote so I don’t know what the fuck he’s talking about. Don’t lie to the public.
Thank you for your service
ah when you were old enough to be in the military 18 was the legal age to drink
You've done all that such a short amount of time you need a case of beer in a lot of respect
THANK You for your Service
The exact same thing turned 19 in Boot Camp 20 in Nam discharged four months before I was 21
Stop whining sir, i'm a Marine ghost and my duty started when I enlisted at 18
I'm sorry, but Jessie Ventura is absolutely wrong, because in Minnesota where he's from the drinking age was 19 until 1986. I went into the US army when I was 17 under early enlistment in One month before my 18th birthday I spent my birthday in basic training then AIT, I then went to rasp training, airborne, air assault and ranger School at 18 and was able to drink because the drinking age was 18 in my state when I went in, 2 years later I came back from my first duty station from overseas on leave and my state changed it to 21, but the US didn't mandate a drinking age of 21 nationwide until 1986 by then Jesse Ventura would have been 35 years old.
I've always respected 💯 this dude..
And I don't think there should be a consideration for wealthy families to dodge military enlistment! politicians have no problem to unalive your family members and loved ones so maybe they should feel our pain!
He’s NOT lying!!!! Thank you for your service
you're just so damn right buddy
You can vote at 18
Facts 💯 💯 💯
I was 19 when I went into the military drafted I couldn't vote I couldn't drink and nowadays it's dumb but if you want to smoke you can't smoke in most places to your 21. you can't rent a car till you're 25 so the only thing in 18-year-old could do is go in the military That's it
amen jessie
FACTS!
Drinking age went up to 21 long after the Vietnam war
went into Marine Corps at 17,went to vietnam at 19,was 20 when i returned home.couldnt drinK LEGALLY In Nebraska,my home state until i turned 21,did anyway though but when i turned 21,they dropped it to 19.Has been 21 for a long time when they chsnged it back.
Of for sure thank you for your services.I am so sorry for what they did to you men. I get it!
thank you for your Service
Trump is sending children to his war
loves to brag about himself
I was stationed in Camp Pendleton in 84 - 86. We could drink beer under 21 but not hard liquor.
you go brother
I've watched this guys spray time all his interviews. this is not ai people
He never saw combat 😂
Jesse is a bold face liar
At 18 years old - back then you 1. couldn't buy beer 2. nor alcohol 3. nor Weed 4. nor cigarettes 5. nor drive 6. nor own a gun 7. Nor vote.. but you can serve overseas, and the top 6 on this list became Legal 😮
🤙🏾🤙🏾
l truly love and respect his service, loyalty and most of all Honer to this Great Nation we all live in..... but I think he might be just a little bit off base about the drinking age at that time, simple because the drinking age didn't go up from 18 teen to 21 not until the early eighty's or mid eighty's... But like the Great Patriot that he is absolutely correct, you can go and fight a war at that age but you can't come back and sit at a bar and have a drink just to clear the horrors that you had experienced... trust me I unfortunately have had that first hand experience myself serving four tours in Iraq...in Greatest and most lethal force in the world, The United States Marine Corps.... but when I got back state side nobody really gave me a hard time when I would go out to a pub....aspeculy in San Diego... coming back to barecks in Camp Pendleton.....God bless brother....
The drinking age used to be 18 and it only changed in 1984, so Jessie "The Body" Ventura is a lying sack. I was in the Navy when the law changed. On Dec 31st, I could drink at the EM club, on Jan 1, I couldn't. I turned 21 that April and could drink again.
Who is she?
He had his 15 minutes of fame. He just refuses to go away!
I joined the Marines at 17 years and 21 days old semper Fi
he's right i lived that
we volunteered we were not forced to go, we were trained to go
This another point I could never understand.. Then I came to my own senses.. they make rules to be followed..while they do as they want.. They want you to man up or grow up only in the mind while children's get touched and destroyed by all they make up rule but they don't follow they own rules.. with all that have been posted and slang around social media about all their ordeals as far back to their own youth.. this man said enough to open some minds .. yall keep playing along, and when you get that scene, you will wish u stand up and do something about all this foolishness
But were you forced or did you volunteer
as a 12 year veteran, he aint wrong
He's one hundred percent right
Its still the same way. they can't drink a beer or go into Strip clubs but they can fight in our wars we have
nobody sent you. you just said you demanded to go back.
I was in the Marine Corps., 1981-1984. California. I was 19 but couldn't by a beer legally in a public bar. I could only drink on base at the E-club.
