Years ago, I went home to Mississippi from Florida and I went into a nightclub to find my cousin he wasn’t there so I left. Within a block I got pulled over by a line of policeman who said I was drunk didn’t give me a test just threw me in the back of a cop car and they drove my car to their impound lot. When we got to the station, they had me blow on the breathalyzer and it came up 000 but they wouldn’t let me see it. I looked over my drivers license which he was using to cover the numbers. My aunt had to come bail me out for $500 and it was never on my record.

I was convicted by a jury for dui. I was parked on side of the road. never said a word. never did any tests. was taken to the hospital and passed drug and alcohol tests. 4 cops showed up. all 4 said thier dash and body cams were either not turned on or malfunctioning. the states only evidence was one of the officers that showed up. he testified he was a drug recognition expert and in his opinion I was high, but didnt know what the acronym he ised for the program that certified him stood for. he lied and said I admitted to buying a bundle of heroin and doing 1 bag. no drugs alcohol or paraphernalia was found on scene. my public defender never asked where the other 9 bags were. she never pressed him on anything. said make the state prove thier case. they had an expert who said sometimes drug test show false negatives. our expert testified that only a presumtive urine test was taken then destroyed.
