so is there a reason why there's no asphalt paper nailed to the wood. because all of that is going to leak way faster because wood exorbs water and the material will separate plus it works as a great fire barrier from you burning the whole damn building down. and it looks like you've been doing this for about 20 years completely wrong and then you did not round one edge of that metal stop any chance of penetration in the future because that metal also will drink and expand along with the wood pushing the metal into the material. or you purposely do it like this so it leaks in 5 years and you get paid to come back and fix it
