As an ex high schooler, I guarantee not a single one of these kids gives a single breath about social discourse. They see discourse as an excuse to be social... I. e "hey, we can all skip 5th and 6th if we all say it's in protest against (insert current mainstream issue), can't get in trouble then, especially if there's enough of us". This type nonsense, is up to the district to figure out consequences for. Unlike being a functional part of the workforce, anyone 17 and under doesnt have legal agency over their attendance of k-12. If the district doesn't halt this nonsense hard, you're gonna have every age demographic walking out whenever they like, "in protest of.....(insert braindead kid newsline parroting) ". and there's not a thing you'll be able to do after that. you allowed mostly minors to just up and waltz off campus.... lol. And they're all gonna cry it's over social issues.... God I'm glad I graduated when I did. These kids are cattle IQ wise. sad
