That's what they did when they came to my house. Once they said they wanted to speak to me. After I'd been talking to them for 5 to 10 minutes through the door they asked me to step outside. I said, why I hear you just fine and you hear me. So tell me what you got to say, and they left... Go figure

last week in Philly, two cops walked directly into my bedroom with flashlights. The cops entered through three closed doors, upper flight of steps, and 150 ft into my private property. They had no warrant. They insisted they did not need a warrant. They claimed that a neighbor complained that I was running a speakeasy! on the 76-year-old former teacher dying of kidney cancer, they already took one out, I wish that I had a speakeasy going!

All warrants are based on probable cause. the fourth amendment to the US constitution says "ย no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.". as this citizen properly did, do not open the door if they can't show you a warrant signed by a judge.

No warrant is necessary if you are on probation or parole. Entering your place of residence is a clause under those circumstances.

I support the police but lazy idiots like this undermind their support. They are too lazy to make a lawful arrest. If they have probable cause, which the do not seem to have, they can state it. I got these for most people. It requires a warrant, a physical warrant in hand to gain in your house. Police simply think people at large are quite ignorant. The real truth is that cops are incompetent, ignorant, and inept at their jobs. They have little if any knowledge of the laws they are entrusted to enforce. They consistently violate the 4th amendment of anyone they come into contact with. They are stupid enough to believe their policy of identifying everyone they come into contact with is " law ". It is not. They will even arrogantly arrest you for a "fictitious law" failure to identify. This only opens them to unneeded lawsuits. You do NOT have to identify unless you are arrested for committing a crime. At that point if you are " lawfully arrested " you are then under legal obligation to identify. If you are UNLAWFULLY ARRESTED you are not obligated to identify. The extreme ignorance and incompetence of law enforcement officers is a national embarrassment.
