Time for her to call the dept and get a higher authority to remove the idiot cop. Were I his chief I would expect to be called at home and my order would be to have him brought to my office where I would take his badge, ID, and gun. Then place him on two weeks unpaid leave pending dismissal and revocation of police powers permanently. Yes there would be a. investigation but with the video did his foot in the door and minutes later forcing his way into her home the investigation would be brief. Violation of 4th and 5th Amendment rights is sufficient in my book to fire him and have his police powers revoked permanently . As a police chief I can not be party to just firing and he goes a few miles down the road and is hired by another department and does it all over again .
