It's called a Seafood Boil and this is just the way it's traditionally served. Usually consisting of Shrimp/Crawfish, Corn on the Cob and Potatoes with lots of seasonings and spices cooked together in one big pot. Then it's dumped on the table for all to share. Delicious!! π
Graduation is coming up, and this was what my granddaughter requested... a Crawfish/Seafood Boil with ALL the fixin's!! It's gonna be a BIG O' PARTEEE!!πππ
This is how a seafood boil is served !
In the South it is always done this way, except we use newspaper.
Yes, this is how it is done here in Louisiana. One big ass boil of crawfish, potatoes, corn, shrimp, sausage and whatever else you want to add. Dump in the crab boil seasoning and let it cook. You talking about some good eating..You will not walk away hungry. Great food, great company and great times to be had by everyone. Welcome to Louisianaβ¦
The only way to do it!! Dig in and make a messπ
Yup. That's the Traditional Way! Dig In and Enjoy! Wear a bib. Get lots of napkins. And wet wipes. And gloves. And a mask. Hot water squirts out sometimes. SORRY.
I'm from the Midwest originally, so when I first experienced a seafood boil on the East Coast like this, it was a culture shock. I wasn't able to adapt and just enjoy my food. It stressed me out so bad that my OCD kicked in.π€£π€£π€£
OMG!!! That looks delicious!!
I've never had this, but it does look good! My problem is that I'm allergic to seafood and fish.
unsanitary
Thatβs how itβs done. Itβs a crab boil. Iβve been to plenty of these. Everyone sits down and eats and throws the stuff in a garbage can.
Where I grew up we called it a low country boil and we added sausage.
Why not small buckets for each person?
Nice
thats how they do it
How else you think a boil is supposed to be served? LOL this internet is something else.
WOW!! That's why you gots to be mo' careful who you deal with!! He don't even look sanitary, wearing a baseball cap with shades attached, loose flopping hair, T-shirt maybe not clean; IKYL!!!! Food looks over-cooked too, bouncing like rubber. That one kid looking at him like, "Are you serious?!"
No at least lay on top of some foil or something like
Seriously?! SMFH. That's how it's done. I can't believe I even have to type this.
What the HELLY!β¦ I donβt think so!π³

Totally traditional way to have a crab boil. I guess you people donβt get out muchβ¦

That's how you're supposed to serve it, folks. Get over your germ-phobia...it's a clean tablecloth just for this purpose.
One of my cousins does the every year, it's like a family reunion. I love it and so does everyone else...
The first time I saw this was in Charleston, SC and I was sooo shocked and amazed. I could not believe it lol.
