Originally we used the tiny black and decker homeowners 1/2 hp router with a drill bit blunted and a ball bearing welded on the end. Any time I saw one at a garage sale I'd snatch them up.

What a waste of a big piece of drywall oh well, it鈥檚 not money out of your pocket. You鈥檙e just hanging it.
That takes way too long. I can do it twice as fast. People that hang sheet rock have lost the ability to do it correctly. Faster with a drywall saw back cut the piece that comes out goes in the back of a closet. I guarantee that piece of cut out gonna go to scrap pile. That鈥檚 a big-time waste.
Carpenters have been using routers for years
Won鈥檛 be long before we have a robot to do all that overnight and have the house scraped out, and the floors cleaned and papered
