This should be mandatory everywhere. Back in 2011, an ice chunk flipped off a trailer and landed on a car, killing a student I was in college with.
I've been advocating for these kind of set ups at every truck stop for years ! Or for cat walks to be built for trucks and cars to drive between and pay people to clean off their roofs ! Put the unemployed or under employed to work !
They need these at different areas on the Pennsylvania Turnpike .

It would be Illegal to Climb Up ! States need to step up abd build these at all entrance ramps to interstates ! If its a State Law , then these snow brushes need to be provided by the State . The Northeast States are out of their minds to mandate something , then not provide facilities in order to comply ! OSHA regulations prohibit climbing up without a Derrick and harness system ! So the brush is the only solution. Where are they ?
Truck hit a bump on a bridge throwing ice into my front grill, transmission cooler and radiator...several years ago... 2k worth of damage back then...!!

My wife and I almost got hit by a large chunk of ice that came from a tractor trailer. the truck was not worried about it. this should be a mandatory cleaning to avoid accidents! You get hit by ice from a truck he keeps going! This is not right!

some fleets have these but a truck stop or weigh station would need to adjust the height for every random trailer and then charge for personel to move the snow it scraped off.

we need this in the US especially before going up the mountain and coming off the snow covered mountain and all the truck stops near the interstates. How come the US didn't come up with this idea

Scrapers been around for years but not all businesses have them and they don’t actually do that good a job as pictured

It should be mandatory by law and tickets that if trucks are carrying dangerous ice on the roof of their load, they should be ticketed and there should be more public snow scrapers available for truckers they use
I assume they don't put them in truck stops cause some idiot would use it for a over sized load and or if something happens there going to go after the truck stop they don't want that liability
Looks like this will only diminish the blizzard effect behind the semi. Doesn't look like it will scrape the sheet of ice off.
