crossing the flood was an unnecessary risk.

Arizona has the stupid law, if you go through and get stuck you will pay for your car, the cops, the firefighters, the tow truck and to kick you in the balls your insurance will not pay, and will drop you, so not worth it.

One time I was driving in a flash flood and passed thru high water.. however when I went to stop at a light, I had no brakes and went right thru … luckily there was no traffic coming in my direction or we’d both be hit!

My Range Rover would probably make it but wouldn't take a chance bc the roads might be eroded. 🤔

I watched a car go around us in the same cituation. Last I saw of them was their headlights rolling down the river under the water there were 6 people in that car that didn't make it they found the car and them 4 miles from the crossing they thought was passable. they were only wrong this one time.

He was lucky to have ground clearance; otherwise, he would've floated away as the car might have. The car, looking at it, needed to just turn around and go back.

My father and almost drowned making this stupid move. Thanks to a tree that they got pushed into and some very kind people that saw it happen.

you'd have to be familiar with the area to properly access the depth through reference, but if you didn't know the area I'd imagine it could be deceiving, should I or shouldn't I 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, I’ve had it done in front of me. The person made it through safely but I wasn’t willing to risk it so I went around made me go further out of my way to get where I was going but it’s OK. I stayed safe.

If the water doesn't go past your wheel wells and you are over 4000 pounds. Going through slow moving water is not a risk. It's easy and that what 4 wheel drive vehicles are for.

avator

It only takes 1 foot water in flash flooding to have the vehicle lose tire contact and get caught in the current.
