I was a teacher for 40 years. Papers don't grade themselves. Grades don't record themselves. Lesson plans don't create themselves. School dances and events on weekends need chaperone s. Time in front of kids is the tip of the iceberg. Some parents are only available to talk at 7 at night. So that is when the teacher has to be available to discuss concerns. This video doesn't tell it like it is.

yeah I see her point but teachers have a much much much longer schedule than she gave them credit for. you need to count for instruction time, but also prep time, grading, after school activity requirements, Phonecalls to parents, tutoring, etc. if they got paid for the number of hours they actually worked, teaching would be a prime field for money making.
