Why would the oil companies care. If you slow fill you buy more gas?

If you jiggle it 10x (no more than 10) then squeeze the pump in a bottle for 2 seconds then put the nozzle in the tank, you will get more gas.

You should also use rubbing alcohol in your turn signal fluid container to avoid your blinkers from freezing in the winter.

I worked at my dad‘s gas station in the early 70s. They were just starting cell service gas stations. My dad said it’ll never work.😆

Ummm what do you think the first slot does. Here I’ll just tell you. It does the same thing your gas cap is doing. Now you know

I was also told to buy gas on Tuesdays. It’s cheaper and to buy gas early in the morning when it’s cooler this information came from a man who delivered gas.

Dumb! Use the first latching position on the handle and therefore don’t disrupt the auto shut-off feature.

And what if, you don’t have a “gas cap?”

You see people keep pumping after it shuts off several times. Guessing they don't have a clue the damage they're creating. Overfilling your tank causes the fuel to drain into the Carbon Cylinder which controls your pollution exhaust fumes. Burns it out & expensive to fix.

I think those new trucks have air tight fuel fillers. if you just punch a screwdriver through the side of your tank, you can put all the fuel in you want.

the fuel pump has a meter that makes sure that you get gallon of fuel each time the fuel pump reads a gallon. The county weight and measure department check each gas station to make sure that the consumer gets what you pay for. look for the sealer stamp on the pump it should tell you last time it was checked.

let the air out of the tires and it'll suck the air out of the tank.

I trucked all kinds of fuels for over 48 years. Better to get gasoline and diesel and propane, butane, at night when its cooler. The fuel is much denser when its cold. The heat makes the fuel more suspended in vapor form (like all gasses) and you get less product than when its the hottest part of the day. Another thing, don't get fuel when the fuel truck is delivering "dropping " fuel. Any water, and debris at the bottom of the tank supply tank (usually under the ground) is being stirred up and could make it into your gastank. There should be a a filter to catch that, but water condensation and dirt can still reach your cars fuel tank.

as for air that's why there is a vent running length of your filler tube which the nozzle goes past at the top end of your filler tube
