Try shoveling this crap. 26 inches by 6am Monday morning, nowhere near the end of the storm. Can't tell there's steps going down to the street. Won't see a plow for another 8+ hours. The perks of living in the north east.

yeah once I got started and blood flowing, body and muscles warmed up I usually did a few of my neighbor's driveways also...then I'd hit my garage gym and get dome sets in

I did the neighbors on both sides and the older gentleman at the end. I love shoveling the couple south were older the lady north was a physically fit beautiful woman and all she had was a little shovel and I'm She-Rah so I helped her out. The older gentleman north well I already was out and about. The best time is 3 am when all is quiet.

I grew up in DC in the 60s/70s. We had three elderly families on the right of our house two on the left. Once my brother and I finished shoveling our walkway and sidewalk, we couldn't go have fun until we cleared the walkways for our neighbors. The neighbors on the left were African-American. Our neighbors on the right were elderly white folks. In the Jewish family one of the wives would always invite my brother and I inside for a bowl of chicken matzo ball soup. Though we never developed a taste for the soup, we'd still eat it because she was so nice to us. We'd laugh and say, never thought I'd ever eat chicken soup with a baseball in it. My AA neighbors gave us hot chocolate with marshmallows. When we moved our family back to DC my sons carried on the goodwill for our new neighbors.
We have a young man is his late 20鈥檚, that goes out and does the driveways of his senior neighbors, he won鈥檛 take any money for it, i occasionally slip a Starbucks gift card in his mailbox

my husband does the same thing, he has a snowblower. he will do all the sidewalks from corner to corner. I have to call him back to the house. and won't take a dime for doing it.
