It's easier to do this than unscrew it & have it run all over the place. Plus, the filter will be lighter.🤔🤔👍
Used this method in the 70s
they make oil filter wrenches that work great if enough room
not a good idea
still have to take it off and there is still old oil in bottom of pan. more work than needed.
why?
On Ford 3.5 ecoboost you cant do that because the filter is hidden there's barley space to put your hands in there. 👍
