I'm applauding that judge for rightfully referring their facility to the prosecutor's office!! What an outrage against our vulnerable population! This is a disgrace! Makes me want to see how much EVERY single senior is being charged!! 馃

Good for the judge for showing the evidence of outrageous pricing in a nursing home. That price is for a case of toilet paper. The families could go to the store and buy toilet paper for a lot less. She needs to be charged for overpriced items like that. I hate to see what else they charge for basic items that they need for every day items. I hope that she gets charged for exploiting the elderly. And when they send to prison for her crimes. Then while she is in prison she needs to made pay for what she uses in prison that she charged the residents.

My MIL was a nurse. She checked the nursing home bill of her husband's step mother. She knew diabetic pkg contained 2 doses of insulin. The nursing home charged her twice when there were 2 doses in the pkg. imagine the profit if they did this to every diabetic patient.

Any person that knowingly does damage or causes pain to an elderly person should get double the maximum charge. Where are politicians that will write laws like that to protect citizens?
