from a farmer- they have heaters in the pods. don't talk about it if you haven't raised cattle or farmed a day in your life😂

For all the uninformed, misinformed people. These calves are in what’s called a “calve hut”. They’ve been around since the 90’s and probably before. Get real people! Go out in this world and look at things!

I own cattle. They have 2 shelters. They DO NOT LIKE TO BE IN HEAVY SNOW. OR HEAVY RAIN and I especially feel terrible for them when there’s HAIL pelting them. Trees are not adequate protection & most don’t even have that. People that raise animals to kill for food do not care about anything but lining their pockets with blood money. The animal can’t talk for themselves & people want to eat them so they look the other way. I do not eat them. Mine are pets. Cattle are sweet, they’re gentle & kind. I have one that even can match the pitch of her soft moo’s to different notes I hum to her. Stop eating animals that can love. There’s not enough love in the world.

I appreciate the vacationless life of any “farmer” until you “farm” livestock making meat to eat. It’s a personal choice not to eat something raised solely to be consumed, like the calves that never run a field but live in a box until their short lives are ended and they become veal. Pass. I’ll choose my mushroom vegan crumble every day thank you very much. Let’s not forget the toxic pollution created and vast water consumed in the raising of corn, which when fed to bovine creatures meant to graze, creates more methane than vehicles on the road today. Watch 3 authentic meat industry documentaries and then order that steak. And the “farmer” loading the veal train with bottles doesn’t look too thrilled doing it but I betcha he’s going home to a burger…

When we were younger we raised two cows for meat. Let me just tell you. they were the friendliest pets. Both died of old age. We suck as farmers.

this is why "Factory Farming" needs to be reformed. Probably most of those caves won't live or are already dead

Tell me you’ve never been through Wisconsin or worked on a dairy farm. The calf’s are warm.

My ex grew up on a small family dairy farm. They raised about 40 head (plus 1 very happy bull). The cows were well taken care of, free to wander the fields when they wanted, free to wander back to the barn at milking time. Ex raised several as 4-H projects, showed them at county and state fairs. Those cows were treated like working pets. When they got to old to produce, they became steaks in their freezer (and their children's and brother's and sister's freezers). My SIL & hubby raise over 150 head with a modern automated milking parlor, high-tech monitoring, nutritional monitoring, on-call vet. Those cattle are given excellent care, they are a huge investment. Their families, however, never raised calves for veal

These calves are living in an igloo, and the snow is acting as insulation. They’re going to be fine.

If you pay attention to how things work, in the wild, a lion will jump on the back of a gazelle and bite him until he collapses, dies then will start eating him. In the ocean, big fish are constantly eating smaller fish. At times the fish with blue hair will get in between and also get eaten but it’s usually just the initial fish. We raise cows to eat, it’s a part of life so deal with it , accept it or eat vegetables and keep quiet and mind your business. I’m tired of people telling others how to live their lives. Live your life without interfering in other peoples lives or be released into the tundra with a pair of running shoes and see how much your protesting works there.
