Yeah, back in the day, I wish I was the greatest skater in the world, the greatest singer in the world, the greatest guitarist in the world, the greatest boyfriend in the world, and probably one of the richest people in the world! well none of that happened but I will never forget, growing up with all the awesome benefits. I had that so many children will never have including our mother and a father and siblings, and God’s grace protect us all.

I used to dream of being an ice skater. Love. Cant wait until the Winter Olympics. Skating, skiing, snow, ice. Love it.
Fun!! I wish I could glide like that on the ice. I was a klutz as a child, so both of my skates had a "training wheel" blade. It amounted to a parallel double-blade edge spaced 1/2" or 3/4" apart. I was willing to suffer the humiliation of those skates so I could be out on the ice with my brother, sister, and dad. Unfortunately, I was hopeless. We donated those skates to charity. I'm confident they collected dust until somebody threw them into the garbage.

We always have a ton of snow on the top of our frozen lakes... can't skate, but great for skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling.

I remember my shoes being thrown out on the pond & as I went to get them, I was grabbed back just as the thick ice broke.
How secure is the ice? How does one know if the ice is safe? I love this. What a great outdoors experience in a nature setting. 🥰

lol I’m getting a kick reading your comments,
I could Walk and almost run with ice skates on but once on the ice I barely kept myself upright and my ankles would just not stay strong. I found this odd since when I was 11 and 12 I was training to be a Dance skater on roller skates and could skate just like the person in this video with no effort and do simple 1/2 rotation jumps as I was just learning those but did have to complete pulsary exercises and dance with a partner different styles of dance to get my first awards and certification which I got.
